Individual Grants Application

You will receive a confirmation email when our application is submitted.

NOTE: Persons with a brain injury can not apply on their own for a Dr. Gur Singh Grant. Please contact an association/society that provides services to people with acquired brain injuries, who will apply for a grant on your behalf if you qualify. If you are not aware of services near you, please let us know where you are located, and we will inform you of whom to contact in your area.

Individual grant application

Application deadlines:
March 31, May 31, September 30, and December 31.

Grant fund use

  • Payment is made to the agency applying on behalf of the individual. That agency will disburse the funds in a manner that best facilitates the individual’s successful completion of the desired course or training
  • Funds are provided after the Alliance receives the individuals acceptance document as well as confirmation of registration and acceptance from the institution the candidate will attend 
  • Funding decisions are announced within 8 weeks of deadlines 
  • Funds not used within twelve (12) months of receipt must be returned to the Brain Injury Alliance. This deadline may be extended following a review. 
  • Funding availability varies depending on the number of qualified applicants and fund amount. 
  • Grants are not transferrable to other individuals or to other educational programs not identified in this application 
  • Grant amendments/alterations/extensions or transfers must be approved submitting a written request to the Alliance before the funds are used. 
  • Subsequent funding may be provided as an extension of the first-year program following an approved Program Performance Review. However, recipients are not eligible to apply for multiple grants within the same school year.
  • The Alliance does not guarantee multi-year funding.
